Jimmy Thompson, Jr. (AKA "JJ") recently competed in Louisiana at the 2009 Louisiana State Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition. He was awarded with first place in the no gi advanced division and third in the gi advanced division. As a result of the first place award, he is now a 2009 Louisiana State Champion in submission wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Hundreds of people competed. JJ competes all over the United States and trains in Plano, TX under JD Shelley at North Dallas Brazilian Jiu-jitsu (www.ndbjj.com). He is currently a blue belt, but will be receiving his purple soon.
